I don't think so.  I think milsim is one thing airsoft can be.  In Asia they have a much wider variety of gameplay types.  Milsim, historical sim (still milsim, in a sense, I guess), pistol games, the guys in Taiwan who play with hopped up race guns (apparently those games are really fast...), and of course, "Powerball." (Shudder.)

Thats why I said "basically". When I think think airsoft I think of guns that were designed to simulate military weapons, scenarios, etc. I guess its just how you interperate it. But regarding thier website, Im almost positive they were imlying everything related to airsoft not just historical-sim, or mil-sim like Ninja said. Plus, that website is targeted at the USA as of now, so it really doesnt matter what they do in Asia.

P.S. how would historical-sim not be mil-sim, its still the military...isnt it?

Sometimes historical-sim has more of a reenactment thing to it.

At least, that's my impression. I know they do one really long (3 days+) game in Japan that sims the Vietnam war. I don't know if it's scripted or not, but they have firebases get overrun, captures and interrogations, etc. Crazy.
