You didn't install the little rubber tube that sits on top of the hop bucking.  Most likely you lost it if you pulled the bucking out of the old hop up unit when you took the barrel out.  Without that little piece there's nothing to press down on the bucking to push it against the BB.

Here's a pic of a hop bucking and the little tube I'm referring to.

Thx guys, we got it fixed and now my gun shoots a lot further. We still had the piece, we just stuck it on the side of the hop-up..... There still is one weird thing though. The hop-up only moves one way. When you get tot the end it cycles all the way back to no-hop. This doesnt affect anything and must be a systema thing...weird...

It goes in the little hole where the lever comes up inside the casing.  The rubber peice allows for the lever arm to be more responsive onto the hopup bucking.

And when your bucking wears out, all you have to do is turn it a little so that a different segment is making contact with the BB too... or at least that's what I did. Works just fine for me.

hop-up wont "hop"
« Reply #11 on: June 01, 2004, 08:28:27 PM »
Well I have a CA M15A4 Carbine and just as most peole say, the standard hop-up died after a while. I upgraded my gun to 400fps and I bought a systema hop-up for my gun. I installed it and everything works fine except the hop-up doesnt really hop up at all.

I have used my brothers CA mp5a3 and if you set the hop-up all the way, the BBs fly upwards. With mine, they just fly a little further, not as much as my brothers gun does. Is thier anyway I could make the hop-up more sensitive or anythingto fix this?
