As the previous airsoftplayers suggests, we should let them know how we feel about the way in which they are soliciting their products.

EDIT: Ok, looks like they either closed the account or it is all spammed up.

Thanks for the heads up Kurn, Its always nice to hear how much lower SoftAir Depot can stoop too.  I can't wait till they are out of business.  They are a the exact opposite of what a true airsoft player is.  Its a shame.  They can't go under fast enough for me.

I got one too.  What should we do to get off of their mailing list.  I don't remember giving permission, however, I don't read things as thouroughly as I should either...

Their "mailing list" is the Airsoftplayers.com personal message system.  They could do the same thing using the personal messages here.

Somehow I think they did it as a group mailing though.  I can't someone sitting there sending out all those emails individually, but then again it is "SoftAir Depot" and they don't do things the proper way anyways.

After the horrible reaction to the airsoftplayers spam I doubt that they would try much more of this. I also think they have kinda given up on us after that little incident on these forums.

I can't believe that they thought that spamming everyone on a major airsoft site would be in any way beneficial.

ASP thread regarding the spam:

I would think that they used a utility/bot as well.

Jeez, those softair guys sure know how to make friends. I wonder what thier plan is? Lets take a look at what they've managed to do so far:

1.Decided that buying into a franchise with a French company was a good idea.

2.Decided that doing bussiness with a company that apparently puts more emphisis on legal matters than on it's product was a good idea.

3.Decided that lying and misrepresenting themselves on these boards was a good idea.

4.Decided that spaming the entire AirSoft Players membership was a good idea.

There are undoubtedly more examples that I can't remember off the top of my head. Hey, 6 more and we could send in a list to Letterman.

Softair Depot Spam

Seems that our friends over at Softair Depot are using Airsoft Players to send out spam.

Hopefully they won't try the same thing here...
