I was under the impression that it didn't come out until today. Oh well, I'm planning on seeing it later today, since I'm a fan of the Marvel Movies.

EDIT: Just as I guessed. The movie was great!

I can't wait to see it.  Doc Oc was always the best villan Spidy went up against.

Great movie, and they added in some good lead-ins to more sequels....Gotta love that, but you would have to have watched the TV series to have caught them.

I caught a midnighter as well... I liked it a lot, but too bad Spidey dies ;-).  I was in Toronto, Canada when I saw it, so there were actually reporters there since that was pretty much the first release in North America.  The one thing that bugged me was the helos in the end... they looks so cheesy.  All the other CG stuff in the movie is top rate, but it was like they got bored.  The choppers look like they came out of a video game.

Great Movie and definitely much better than the first!  Spidey's up against everybody in this one, his best friend Harry Osborne, the love of his life in MJ, guilt for feeling responsible about Uncle Ben and having to face Aunt May, up against Doc Oc and up against his biggest enemy, himself, the battle within!

The action sequences were great, the violence was excessive (A Big Plus) but not over the top and even lampoonish (referencing the operating room scene as it cracked me up) when it was over the top.  This one was very well done and even had its charming subtle moments (neighbor with crush) and funny moments (elevator scene) but the best part of the cinematic journey was the transformation of Peter from the passive, nerdy, reluctant, roped in hero to a take charge assertive in control hero.  The movie made me really feel for him as everyone treated him like dirt, walked all over him (most relevant when Harry bitch slaps him at the Gala) and he just took it!  To the I'm not going to take this sh@t any more open up a can, stand up for myself, do the right thing but still, be a good person on my terms attitude!

In short, I liked the movie, well worth my $7,,,

Saw it yesterday.  It was "okay".  to be honest, i wasn't too impressed.  the special effects were nice, Doc Oc especially, but peter parker almost cried at least 10 times.  (what's up in the scene with the landlord's daughter?)  chick flick for sure.

overall, i give it a generous 6/10.

I saw it last night. I thought it was very good, almost better than the first. The new villan, Doc Oc, was awesome.

Has anyone else seen it? Whatd you think? Better than the first?
