Can't agree more.  I've been an NRA member since '87 and a Life Member since '89.  If you're an owner of a real firearm it's your responsiblity to join.  If you don't then I look at it as the same thing as those that bitch about the government but never vote.  Either back up what you're saying or don't say anything.  [;)]

a minor cant join.  minors can't own firearms, thus, they can't join.

Anyone can join the NRA, age doesn't matter.  And minor's can own firearms, they just can't buy them.  They can receive them as gifts.  So get busy and sign up!

Harley's right. I joined when I was 16. In fact, I think they even have special rates for "junior members". Check it out at http://www.nramembership.org/ .

Harley is correct boys, I have been a life member since age 8 after completing my first NRA sponsered hunters safety course.  It was mandatory since age 8 was the year I joined Sons of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) shooting squad!  Good Times Baby!

Join the NRA! Soon!
« Reply #9 on: August 03, 2004, 10:20:47 AM »
I can't stress how important this election will be on gun owners (airsoft and "real steel!). Plus we have the Clinton Ban expiring really soon here[:D]. Now, more than ever, we need to be members of the NRA. Its not the bravado thing, but the fact that all the political candidates know that the NRA represents over 4 million voters! With the race projected to be so close, those 4 million votes can make or break a presidential candidate. This puts pressure on both Kerry and Bush to abide by our constitution and let us have our firearms! So join the NRA, even if its just for this year - it can truly make a difference. Let me know your thoughts.
