Anybody that would take a $600 rifle and ruin it for that purpose is an idiot.  Now if they took an RPK parts kit and made their own dummy receiver and did it then I'd say hell yes good job.

On the site it says it took him 6 hours to make all the fake parts and take the pics.  That is an awful lot of time and expense for an April fools joke...  

Though an airsoft gun that ejected shells during automatic fire would be pretty darn cool.
