Well that's correct, it would no longer be a toy and if you shoot somebody with it you'll probably get arrested to boot.

I recently talked to one of my buddys in Kali and he said that if you put metal bb's in your gun then they it's all legal cuz then it's considered a bb gun and not an airsoft so it's  no longer a toy
