I dont know where the link is now..but i think hes referring to these things that have a tie line on each end and something wrapped around the middle with a charge inside them. Its meant to be for a tripwire..But you can easily take the cardboard tops off those part poppers and make a claymore..but i have to say that you could more easily make a  claymore made to use a BB shower

<br />you talking about them little party dealies where you pull the string and it fires out craploads of confetti and stuff? now, would you be able disassemble one of them buggers and load it with BBs and use it as a claymore? would that be against the law? what possible damage could it cause to the surrounding area/people and gear?
<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">

I have taken them apart... I've never filled them with BBs, but you probably could.  What you do is stick the tip of a pencil or something long around the cardboard that covers the hole where the confetti comes out and you dump out all the confetti.  Then, you will see another piece of cardboard at the bottom, under that is the charge.  You can take that piece of cardboard out the same way you take out the first and actually take out the charge (still attached to the string), but the BBs might be propelled more effectively if you leave the bottom cardboard piece in.  They aren't very powerful though, so I'm not sure how far/fast it would shoot BBs.  It's worth a try though, just be safe.

EDIT: You should probably try it on your own the first time when nobody is around to make sure that it isn't too dangerous, that way if the BBs go flying out at 800 fps you won't kill anyone.  I know that's common sense, but I just wanted to make sure in case anyone thinks about launching one of these at one of their friends before they test it.

Things that go BOOM
« Reply #18 on: November 05, 2004, 11:55:48 AM »
Here's something a buddy of mine put together after we went shooting about 2 months ago. Some of you guys have already seen it at AZ Shooting, but I figured I put it here anyway as I know how many people here have an affinity for things that go boom[:D]. Anyway, the link is:

By the way, PLEASE don't go on the net searching on how to make explosives - there is way too much faulty info out there. For instance, they'll tell you how to make something, but don't tell you that the reaction has to take place at 0 degrees C to not go critical! Even if you do perform everything correctly, there's always something that can go wrong[xx(].
