The closest thing to a civilian version of the Blackhawk is either the Sikorsky S-76 (which is smaller) or the S-92 (which is bigger)
It seems the S-92 is priced at $15 million.

Actually, if you own a non-profit organization and were staging a living history event, the National Guard is big on helping out. They have offered me tents, and vehicles in the past. I never asked for a helicopter. But it would require a very VERY PROFESSIONAL GROUP.  I'm sure a helicopter would not be out of our reach. One would just need to develop a strong relationship with them.  However, I usually don't mention this because a well meaning yet   inexpirenced person may try to accomplish this task and ruin any chance at it.

Like sending a private to the Pentagon.  Anyway, anyone who has connections should just pass it on to owners of the group and let them handle it.  A relationship of this manitude require painful organization and some very well spoken representatves.

I'm sorry, but that's buloney! The National Guard would NEVER lend out a helicopter to ANYONE, no matter what the circumstances!

Maybe you should read a little better before you post. He said they would help out, not loan or give them a helo. And since you arent national gaurd, how the hell would you know?

i'll be in soon. Helicopter crewchief will be by job. I bet i might be able to set something up. I posted this already...but apperantly people dont listen. Most likely the national guard will not lend you a chopper, unless you call it a military training, and record it for training videos. You could convince a pilot to do it for free, just gotta talk to the right people.
