Well, in order to do that you need a claw mount, which still allows you to use your iron sights. You can get a canteliver(sp) mount for the aimpoint.
 A claw mount with a cantilever on top would put that Aimpoint a
little too high. The TM claw mount replica sucks and falls off. (The last thing you want is an optic that taps out after one round!) A real one costs over 100 bux.
American Spirit Arms makes an MP5 mount that allows you to co-witness, so would have several options for the Aimpoint. You could do the G&P L-Mount (Aimpoint Rail Grabber type, not the Knights type), the ARMS throw lever mount (or replica equivalent), or even a clamshell mount like you have there.
On second thought, that looks to me like a NC Star replica. You will either need a real Aimpoint, or a big-boy replica like the G&P or Guarder unit before using the mounts I described. The NC Star is not to scale. You could get the ASA mount and use the optic and mount you have now.
ASA is on the web, but their site sucks. Look Up the full name in the White Pages and call them. They are in NE Scottsdale, at Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. and the Loop 101.
While you're in the neighborhood, do me a favor and stop by the Scottsdale Gun Club to tell them they need more gear!
