red gas in any gbb gun?
« on: July 11, 2005, 06:59:39 PM »
alright. so people have told me a lot of different things about what kind of gas to use in what guns. so i want to get a final answer.

can you use red gas in any gbb gun? i have a m11 and i want to try it out. i have an magnesium bolt, so it wont shatter or anything. people have been telling me red gas can only be used in certain guns (ie desert eagle). probably a 'newb' question, but hey, no harm in asking.

It'll blow seals quicker than green gas, but any pistol you can use green gas in will accept red gas.

Thats not true Vince, but I don't see any problem as long as you lube it well... People have told me that with red gas on certain guns, I would crack the slide or shatter it within a few mags...Those people obviously didn't know sh*t because I used one of those guns for 8 months with red gas and not a simple problem...HMmmm?!

Well I've seen a guy blow the slide on a western arms pretty fast, so it varies. If you're gonna use red gas, mix it with green gas, so it's not overly powerfull.

OK... Well I forgot tomention stock WA guns should only be run on forane(134a)...And who told you to mix gasses gant? Because, those are two different gasses and dont MIX at all..infact one will sink to the bottom of the mag most likely, resulting in half your shots being different form the others...

Well I've heard it from a few people. Ethan said he does it. Dusty from JT recommended it...

But I only use green gas anyways. I've got a KJW M9 so I don't think it would handle it. Would you think any different?

Even the ABS takes red gas like a champ... Ethan should know better because we had this talk...And...As for Dusty... I think he's been drinkin on the job again...

Really though, don't do it. Just use straight up red gas.. And if you want to have better performance and never have those lame overfilled mags..get a stronger hammer spring like a 190%:
