3 Phoenix Police Officers Shot - 1 Suspect Killed
« on: July 08, 2005, 04:17:27 PM »
http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/ ... oot08.html

Morales said the suspect fired several shots from a “semi-automatic type assault weaponâ€￾ while he was driving the vehicle on Sky Harbor Boulevard. The car was eventually forced to stop after the suspect jumped the curb and blew out the tires, police said.

None of the wounded officers’ injuries are life threatening, but all remained hospitalized midday Friday, police said. They were identified as Officer Chris Parese, Officer Alex Beaver and Officer Jacob Helms.

Of the three, Parese suffered the worst wounds, taking gunshots to the neck and shoulder. It marks the second time in a year that Parese has been shot while in the line of duty. The officer also was wounded last August during a gunbattle that killed Phoenix police Officers Jason Wolfe and Eric White.

There was a really bad incident last year in which two PPD officers were killed and a few others were wounded.

Apparently, Parese was one of those wounded.

He may want to think of a new line of work!

Its a Frickin shame the 3 of phoenix's finest have been shot. It shows what a screwed up planet it is becoming.

I goota say the one guy really should consider a new line of work.

What is also bad news is that some scumbag with a gun, will probably rekindle the outcry for weapons banning again.

Remember, when the general public no longer can posess weapons, then ONLY the criminals will have them.

Right after such an incident you feel REAL good and REAL LUCKY.  But over time it can start getting to you.   You start to play that sh!t over and over in your mind and you might even start beating yourself up over what you could have done better.  Especially if one of the good guys got killed.

What's really bad is when you survive and your friends are killed. You feel like crap.

No not me. But that's what both my Grandfathers and my great uncle who were in WWII  tell me. And from what they've been through I believe them. Yeah sorry, should have put that in my original post.

(And it's not Gant, it's Hoff)

EDIT: At least I know how fix my grammer.
