I would have done it the American way

1) Make him wait an hour in a waiting room
2) Ask him if he had 'insurance'
3) Get him to fill out 50 forms

Andy, that was truly great. What better way to treat him.
The one thing that I think everyone has to realize is that despite helping this wounded " person" ( which seems like the right thing that we should do ) these people dont have the mentality that we do.
This guy may have been treated and recovered, he probably is in Abu Grahib or Gitmo right now, but the truth is, this guy would still gladly slit your throat and your entire family's as well right now if he had the chance, despite what services were provided for him.
He's not going to change his tune. How many Alqaida or taliban have you heard of changing hearts and joining the coalition forces because they realized that it was the right thing to do?
Right and wrong does not exist in Islamic fundamentalist extremism, you and your family and your friends are all infidels that should be slaughtered like pigs in their minds, despite that in this country maybe being nice to someone might make them realize they should change their ways, that doesnt happen there
How many of you have been to the middle east? Im not criticizing you if you havent, but realize that being nice over there doesnt always work.

in fact they are commanded in the Quoran not to:
from the book The Victory:
[48.16] Say to those of the dwellers of the desert who were left behind: You shall soon be invited (to fight) against a people possessing mighty prowess; you will fight against them until they submit; then if you obey, Allah will grant you a good reward; and if you turn back as you turned back before, He will punish you with a painful punishment.

4) Refer him to a 'specialist' with a 3 month waiting list that wouldn't take his insurance.

Bullseye, the way I read that is saying that when the desert-dwellers (arabs) are invited to fight the powerful people (the west, for instance), that they will be rewarded if they fight and punished if they do not.  Anyone else read it that way or am I just looking at it wrong?

Before we get into all this kind of debate, are we talking about people who really are following Allahs word in the Koran, or what a bunch of Radical Clerics are telling them what the Koran says?
Does the Koran provide for the beheading of innocent, unarmed  hostages?
Remember, this guy who shot at us, if he was in the same position, would have beheaded the american soldier if he captured him, and then put the beheading on tv for all to see.
Does the kind of mercy that we say should be provided upon this terrorist the same kind of mercy that he would give us if we were captured?
I originally tried to be opened minded with alot of what goes on over there.. after all the atrocites upon unarmed people...how can you feel the same?
Ask Nicholas Berg if he would treat that poor insurgent after being wounded...

<Potential flamewar>

I'm taking the position of " It is the word of <insert Deity du jour here>, therefore open to interpretation"

</Potential flamewar>

In truth there have been hundreds of instances throughout history where any Gospel has been perverted to someone's agenda. It's nothing new, and unfortunately will continue.
