I must say I am quite fond of ALICE. I find it quite aesthetically pleasing and it matches my PASGT vest nicely. I really like the National Guard or Three Kings look. I also have a British web set from WWII that I would love to use had I been able to acquire an airsoft Sten or Bren Gun.

Why carry so much into the feild? Gimme a Camelback, knive, and plenty of ammo. Having allot stuff on you limits mobility and weighs you down.  :)  I don't know. I'm coming from a hunters point of veiw. You usually don't need half the junk you bring along in the feild. Trust me, me and my shoulders know. But to each his own.

ALICE PACKS are just too damn big and bulky.  If ya plannin to hump 40 miles in a OP, go ahead and use it.  But you can't move in vegitation very well in them, you can't fire from the prone position while wearing it, and sure as heck can't be silent while on the prowl.  The "mini-alice" is a better way to go, and the VN era Rucks are much smaller and user-frendly.

A knife you mean? And I hope it isn't for people....
Really thought, even rubber knives are a no no now unless you KNOW the person EXTREMELY well and you KNOW they can handle being touched and joke about it later.

Last time I checked the only guns that mattered were the ones that threw  the lead(or in our case, plastic). :)   As for the knife, I should have said leatherman and definitely not for using on people. Seriously though. A knife is great for removing that little twig right in the middle a shooting lane. I have also removed I don't know how many of peices of cholla from my body with one.
