Looking for camo clothing suppliers.
« on: November 03, 2005, 04:20:36 PM »
Trying to find long-sleeved collared shirts in camo patterns.

(IE. something like a BDU shirt that doesn't wear like a potato sack on me)

Thanks

You probably have them too big then. BDU's are meant to fit, not be really loose..in the pants it isnt that big of a deal..you want them a little "big" but in the blouse..you just want it to be fitting.

I don't have them too big, they're for someone my size, they're just way baggier than I want.

Try a smaller size in "Long" or "Extra Long".

If I wear a size that's long enough for me in the arms and legs, it fits like a dog in a pillowcase.

I DXed all my BDUs for Medium Extra Long, and they fit nice and slim, but long enough in the arms.

What are your measurements, ie Heigh, weight, inseam, etc?

What size BDU did you buy before?

I think it's more how they're built, not the size.

I need something patterned on a dress shirt that can be tucked in at the waist and tapers to the wrist. I guess you could say there's just an overabundance of fabric in BDUs to make for a looser fit than I want.

The BDU pants on the other hand fit relatively well with a decent belt, the loose fit there is actually helful when trying to run/jump/etc.

My BDUs DO fit like that.

I wear my BDU top tucked in at games, and whenever I'm wearing any gear.

The shoulder seam should be right at the lower curve of your shoulder.  Any lower, and that shirt is too big.

I'm telling you, let me know your measurements, and I'll help you out.

Here's how my sh*t fits (I'm very skinny, too!)

That top is too big (Large Long).  I now wear Medium X Long.  It's narrower in the body, sleeves, and waist and longer.

Trust me bro, I wear either a BDU, ACU, or ABDU to work every day, and have done so for the past year and a half.

Trust AZsarge for one thing, but if you realy want material check in the back of the surplus store on 35th and thomas I got woodland ripstop when I was making helmet covers for all the Irene kids (of which I have recieved no payment). Larada's has some fabric but you can check walmart too, I remember seeing some ACUpat cotton fabric there. Be careful walking the line that you are, i.e. making up (and standing by) your own solutions to problems that could be dealt with in other ways, be openminded and take council from others or you will have a hard time.

If the uniform for some reason will not fit...
You not being in the military gives you the one opton the services don't have...get them tailored  :|
But as was said, it's a good chance that it's the size you're wearing.
