New place to play
« on: January 17, 2006, 09:48:41 AM »
Hi all,

I've been checking out a place to play. It's located just off US60 about a mile from the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, and three miles from Superior. -To put that in perspective, it's roughly the same distnce as the AO near Florence.

Advantages; It's rolling hills, lush desert, little or no ATV's, hikers, etc. There's about 40 acres of TNF land to stage a game, and there's a PAVED road that can be accessed by any car other than some lowriders.

Disadvantages; No structures, long drive for some of y'all.

Also, a mile away from the AO is a nice toilet for those with sensitivities about SITW (Shittin' In The Woods).

Now, If I set up a game, I'll probably make it a GPS/find something before the Others do scenario.. I'll make it somewhat easy, but each side will need at least one GPS and a compass.

The game will be open to 18 or older, usual AA rules.

Whattya think? Would you go if I set up a game there in Feb?

Holla back.

Chip

I'd love to go. But until there's an exact date I don't know for sure.

Working on the date, I'll have it nailed down by next week or soon.

I might point out too that this AO won't see houses covering it for a long time, if ever..

And it's an easy and interesting drive from Tucson for our shooters down South..

Lotsa cover, challenging terrain, but places you can move fassssst in, too.

Sure. I myself don't do the Internet picture thang, but I'll get you the directions tomorrow. (need to get the mile marker info) It's a easy drive to the AO but the turnoff is vague. You need to look for a gate a certain distance from a mile marker.

More tomorrow afternoon.
