That is only a gen1. I dont know, I have only looked through a gen1 scope and the distance that I gained visually was negligible.

they'd be fun for night games/camping - no type of magnification needed

I have tried (3) different sets of Gen 1 devices and promptly either returned them or sold them on EBAY. I would make sure they have a no questions asked return policy.

Yeah I've also tried Ians and they were slightly better than the Gen1 in the aspect of detail and a little bit further in distance

Ivan, if you can, look through something Gen 3 and you'll understand.
There really is no comparison. Take that $620 and invest it in something that will allow you to buy a PVS-14 (Or equivalent) at some point in the future.

i actually would take a friends pair of these sometimes and use them. every single time i'd ditch them after a couple minutes because my natural night vision was better/more useful. save your money for some PVS-14's or 7's. Gen 3+ minimum.

I had [briefly] considered some NODs at one point.
You really won't use them as much as you'd like for airsoft, though.
I wouldn't bother unless you got 1500 bucks burning a hole in your pocket.

If I had 1500 bucks burnin' a hole I'd have to get a nice bushmaster 223
