Warlock the Extreme is by far their best product that has an adhesive backing. However the thickness and the metal layer could pose some issues in some allowing the body to close properly. Toss me a PM if you want I have samples of some of their other products that might work a little better.

well i am pretty much a noob in airsofting, but ive got

 TM P90 tr
 a silencer with an SRC M4 barrel running through it
 two 9.6 1100mah batteries

 no real upgrades to the gearbox other than an SRC piston

compared to the other numerous guns ive shot, and heard fire, my p90 is almost whisper quiet.  

im comparing mine to a CA M4 w/ silencer,  CA G36C w/ silencer,  SRC M4 w/ big QD silencer TM MP5k w/ silencer and various unsilenced Mp5s and other aegs

i never noticed how quiet it was until i let someone else shoot it

I'm sure the silencer does silence the air report, but the bang-for-the-buck is covering that damned sewing machine sound the gearbox makes. That is easily 80% of the noise an AEG makes.

I've been wondering about this as well.  I have an ICS MP5, using it in CQB scenarios and it is pretty loud.

What item(s) in the gearbox make the most noise?

Just get some NBB gas pistol or something. The TM MK23 is pretty accurate and makes no noise at all. Then of course there are the Tanaka rifles...

As for an AEG the TM P90 is the easiest to Dynomat, it and the AUG have a ton of room around the gearbox and can easy be silenced almost completly using that stuff.

Does Dynomatting cause any problems with heat retention?  

Anyone know of a site on how to Dynomat an AEG?

Dynomatt works!!! Spaz has a p90 with upgrades including silent head set ect. I belive he used dynomatt. Wont cause a proplem with heat,

FYI Dynamat does reflect some heat it is part of its design.

Properly maintained gearboxes typically do not give off tremendous amounts of heat. Unless you're planning on putting 500 continuous rounds through you can easily dismiss the thermal properties of dynamat as negligible.

The TM FAMAS is really quiet you know, my friend had one before he sold it and most of the team made fun of it for that, well a couple of us did, but yea very silent.
