TM and WE Mag Problems
« on: January 21, 2006, 01:47:05 AM »
Hello again everyone, just a quick thanks to everyone who helped me with my last question but i am back once again with the need for more help and advice.

I have had a Tokyo Marui MK23 SOCOM Fixed Slide gas pistol for about six months now and it has seen very little use and by that i mean just plunking targets in my back yard very infrequently. I still have bb's from the 1000 round bag it came with. The problem that i have had with it is that the original mag that came with the gun started leaking gas like crazy from the bottom area of the mag itself. Let me explain that better, the gas is leaking from what seems like a seam where the mag actually attaches to the bottom piece that holds the spring and gas fill valve in place. I bought a new mag thinking there was nothing i could do and it worked fine until today. I pulled it out after a month or so of it just sitting there, filled it up with gas and sure enough the new mag started leaking in the same place. Does anyone know anything about this problem or how i can go about fixing it? Any help would b greatly appreciated.

Second problem, my friend who i introduced to airsoft a month or two ago got very interested and purchased a WE Hi Capa 5.1 Full Metal (Version 2) and has put barely 5 mags through and today it went haywire on him. It seems like the mag wont fill up all the way with gas so when you shoot it can barely get through 1 full mag before it peters out. Also, it is venting a serious amount of gas and liquid onto your hand when the slide comes back and it is having feeding problems to boot. This gun worked perfectly out of the box and hasn't been mistreated or hardly used at all. Does anyone have any ideas on this one as well? Again, any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I'd like to know how to fix that problem as well...

Hey... speaking of mag problems... i just bought a KJW M9 last week and it works great.  last friday, i decided to make a stop by JT to see if they maybe had some spare mags in before saturday's game.  i found one and bought it.  now, i am noticing that it may have a problem.  the thing is, i dont hear any leaks... or can really tell if there is an problem with the mag.  But, ill fill it up... and the first shots are how they should be at full power.  but i dont even go through the whole clip (i even stopped and gave it a break)... and with not even half a clip gone, maybe 8 shots into it... the gas just runs out.  !?!?!?!?!?!?
anyone have any ideas what it could be and how to fix it?  im gonna go back to JT to talk to them about it and hopefully just get a new mag out of it... but i'll see.  help would be appreciated   :)

the original mag that came with the gun works fine.
is there a difference between the KJW M9 and the KJW M92F Military Model magazines?  cuz the one i bought says M92F Military Model on bottom, and the original just says KJWORKS.   :?:

Thats weird 'cause ive had no problems with my Hi-Capa.

Well the only thing is, after like 10 or so shots the front peice of the barrel comes loose and I have to tighten it.

Not a big deal.
