anyone in PHX want to do a group HK order
« on: April 05, 2006, 09:56:44 PM »
I have been looking at several HK sites for parts since they have such a great selection, but found out that shipping is usually 20+ dollars. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a group order from one of the HK retailers. If we could get enough people this would make shipping costs neglegable (as long as no one ordered something big). Currently WGC is out of some of the parts I want to this would not be an immediate thing but just as an idea. With 5 ppl ordering the HK shipping would only be $4 each. Let me know what you think/if you would be interested.

We do group orders once in a while but what happens 3 out of 5 times is the buyer gets hit with duty tax, So unless you charge duty tax up front group ordering is a bad deal.

duty tax is normally 2.5-3% but fed charges $5 for advancing you the funds

so in other words add another $10 per order to cover duty tax if applicable

I just put in an order to WGC like five minutes ago.

Initial amount before shipping and all that jazz:  $705.50

Still 10 per order isn't that much if you have 5+ ppl ordering. How often do you do it.

Hey Dave, that EBR M14 conversion kit is amazing.

If I had a Marui M14 and another $1200 for that kit I'd get it.
