Tokyo Marui AK-47 Upgrades
« on: April 01, 2006, 03:20:00 PM »
No longer confined to small groups, I need an upgrade from my gas beretta. It's been suggested I get an TM AK and get it to 450fps, but I am unsure how costly this is, and the cheapest US retailer I've been referred to is KastwayAirsoft.

-If I get a stronger motor that is/is similar to a TM EG1000S, will the gears be able to take an M130 or M140 spring for more than three months use? (fps limit is 500)
-How much of a difference does a tightbore barrel make for accuracy and fps?
-Are there any other local repair shops in the Phoenix area and surrounding areas besides Jungle Toy and Softair Depot? How long are the wait times?
-In general for a $400 budget, what are things I should get for a TM AK-47?

Fish: The new AK-74 UN assault rifle; equipped with a hefty EG1300 high-speed, high-torque motor.
Pole: Reminds me of my penis.
Fish: What,l the short-type motor?

First off: The limit for a full auto gun is 400fps. Stick to that.

The limit at Airsoft Arizona? I'm too young to play with their sponsored games, or even most announced games on the forums. I play with a different team independent of AA, and so they have different rules. Please stay on topic, because I need help.

Stay on topic.... wow.

I'm informing you that AA rules are 400 fps as are the rules of many other organizations. Don't post in the AA forum if you don't want feedback relating to AA rules. As it goes for you're gun what you want could be a bit more than $400, maybe you should stick to springers.

PickleDick, or Poldock, w/e... 450fps with an AK is pointless.  Any AEG that is over 400 will break down much, much quicker.  So do yourself a favor, and don't go above 400.

Don't be a douche.
