AA Opening Splash...
« on: March 28, 2006, 09:28:45 AM »
Aight guys, we are now in 2006 and we still have the same opening graphic on the front page since I joined like 4 years ago. i was looking at it today and I realized that man, we looked ghetto back then. there is so much legit gear out there and we aren't showing our pride for it! we should have a contest or something on who can make the new one for the site. I know I'll get flak for such a lame thread, but hey i'm bored at work so gimmie some credit on that... :) 5 bucks to the winning design if my mug is displayed in it!

I think we should just get rid of the splash screen, and have the url direct right to the forums, nobody reads the opening pages anyway, and there is nothing important ever on there that is not in the forums.

Well, see, that's where the ads are.

The sponsors and ads that show there are still rotated through on the top of the forums, so they are still shown.

Here's something I threw together real quick.  And by threw together real quick, I mean it's crappy.  No artistic elements at all, not even a border, due to lack of time.  But hey, you can still see Vince through the head of the sniper.  I won't be able to make a quality splash for a while, maybe not until summer, but it would help if anybody has the picture of Hawk and Farslayer sniping in the river at four peaks.

well i know i'm a new commer to the website sorta, but when i was first looking at it i saw it a little plainishi guess i could say,(but don't judge a book by its cover) so i looked inside and saw how great the site really was, but you could use a new cover i guess you could say, and i agree with Lightning_Man i would ditch the paintball masks.

I have an idea for it but I'll need to take some pics at the game at the end of the month first.
