you guys with the CQBR's

what do you do to the gearboxes/upgrades? I hear that mostly nobody takes them apart - just run them stock? is that true?

would just running a tighbore and a 120 spring and shimming out the box be enough to make it LC'able?

use a cylinder with the hole towards the rear of the cylinder, If your going that route.

The CQBR comes ready to roll from the start. I don't even know what the hell is in it. But, the only things needed to upgrade it to THE gun is a tightbore and upgrade the spring. I don't even do that, and I was doing GREAT last game. It's already LCable, just not as good as most would want it.

well, it's actually not a CQBR, it's a m15a4 carbine and I am putting it together as one, with the front end I got. maybe that makes a difference? not sure if there are any tweaks allready done to the CQBR that arent done to the m15a4 carbine. I'll have to install the front end and see what type of range I get first before i rip it apart

The CQBR's got much more than just having it be an SBR. You'd need to work on the gearbox, too.

And the range is good. If the range wasn't good, then I'm sure the people that have one now (including me) wouldn't have one.

Well its prob. going to be a trial and error type thing. If its a well rated spring with a tight bore short or not, it might get it over 400. I've found out a gun shooting 405-410 with a .25 will not make it for LC fps.

I tried a tightbore in mine and found that I lost fps. It's already dead on accurate for an AEG. I got more than one sniper kill from 150ft with it this weekend.

Oh yeah, It cronoed at around 360fps.......STOCK! That's good enough for me.

Ivan. Instead of Building one, I'd say it would almost be more worth it to buy a brand new one, and save your other Classic Army for a backup.

So didn't you buy all of those outer body parts off of matt? Ok. So all you have left is the internals. Yeah, take that gearbox and copy it to the list the Nate wrote up above. Do you plan on having it shoot the same as a stock one? Or more? I'm pretty sure that with the upgraded gears, bushings, and piston it has, it could probably hold an M120 in there with out any undue stress on the gun, (although I myself really enjoy the rate of fire that I get...)

well, If I run a 120 spring, and the 9.6 battery I'll be fine even if it's shooting 350 - 360. as long as I get some distance.
