Classic Army AK-74 battery question
« on: May 25, 2006, 02:59:42 PM »
ok i have a CA SLR105 (AK-74) and i'm wondering if its completely alright to put a 9.6V in it? because i heard with some guns if you put too high voltage of battery in the gun will mis-feed

so any information would be greately appretiated

ive never looked at the inside of my stock but you could PM silentdragon and ask him about it, i believe he runs the 9.6 batteries in his TM AK, but the 9.6 will boost your ROF some, my 9.6 3300mah battery last me an entire game for my CA M15A4

You will probably have to buy a battery labeled  "9.6 for ak" im pretty sure... An 8.4 barely fits in my CA SLR105. There is about an inch of room extra , even then, the wires wouldnt fit if that inch was taken up....

the 9.6 for ak ones look like this. You may beable to cut the stock  for a different kind, but this one will fit with out cutting as fas as i know.

tried long ago, not going to work too well. its not the stocks size problem, its the arrangement of the battery cells. you could probably just get a 9.6v from jt and rearrange it yourself to fit.
