United States Airsoft Corps.....Are these people for REAL?
« on: July 30, 2006, 12:55:16 AM »
What's goin on guys?

This morning I was browsing the web looking for airsoft gear and such and I came across this website www.usac.com.  Took a look around the site and they "appear" to be a full blown military style Airsoft Team.   :?  Only problem is...there are NO posts, messages, member's logged on, etc...  So who are these people?  According to the site they play all over the nation and have a Regiment here in Arizona.

I have never heard of them, never seen them, or have seen them on any airsoft sponser!  If you ask me.....FUBAR!
Or maybe there a big deal back East or the Midwest....

Has anyone seen them in a official AA game or other event?  Has anyone even heard of this organization for that matter??  There website and forum seems all big and bad and military like....but there's NO PEOPLE in it!

Could some of the troopers here fill me on this?

BRAVO-25 OUT!

man. i haven't heard word of this for a long time. i'm surprised it still even exists. for some reason a lot of douche bags seem to gravitate towards that "association".

it was here in Southern California for a short period before it pretty much self destructed (from all the douchebags involved).

my advice? stay away.

SWAIRTAC was their contingent in Tucson.  We were part of them, maybe....3 years ago.  It basically turned out to be a waste of time and for some of my old team, money.

It was supposed to be a National organization that would help organize and promote airsoft in general.  Those guys in SOCAL turned out to be a bunch of pricks.  They had a huge falling-out at the highest levels of their ranks.  We got out, but I still have their logo on my old SWAIRTAC gear.

who hasnt thot about a nation airsoft organization?
but in the end it would only acomplish one thing, we'd just turn into paintballers.

competition between teams would encourage cheating

houserules would be out the window

the good brotherhood we all are met with would turn into harsh rivalry

the entire foundation of what we curently have would fall apart!

trust me you guys... spreading the word about upcoming games in fine, but the second you allow a league to be created or any sort of athority... our game is going to be destroyed by beurocracy!

He means a more specific airsoft organization like that would create a group of elitist f*cks.

Good to see you on the forums, Noah.

No, not WTF at all -- makes perfect sense. The diction isn't exactly masterwork, but the ideas are coherent, and I understand it.

I agree.

Now come to some games.

all USAC really has are some patches and t-shirts and a facade.

It developed from some online virtual Navy role playing thing into airsoft when the Navy guys got divorced.  Some states have a large presence (like Montana) but USAC as a whole does nothing, IMHO
