The UMG/UMP
« on: September 03, 2006, 11:24:03 PM »
- Both STAR and G&G have released a version of the UMP. Any of you guys have any experience with it? What company made the better version?

G&G, and it kind of sucked. Cumbersome mags and poor ergonomics.

I have the G&G and its not a bad gun.  Its just not that great either.  I only used it at like three games and the gearbox broke on me.  So maybe after upgrading it, it could be a good gun.

I was actually looking into the UMP a while back but decided not to being mags and upgrades are low. Sweet in real life but go with the MP series lots of options

bro. in all fairness, a UMP doesnt really have the range your used to playing with.

as to which is better. idk. but star has a pretty good track record so id go with them.

I still say go for a mp5, the UMG's have just about no upgrade capabilities, and mags are hard to get becasue only G&G makes them and they get expensive after a while.

Earth to pillz.  the umg is a version 3 gearbox so you can put anyhting really you want in it.  it has a top rail as well as rails on the sides and bottom for any lights or laser you want to put on it.  The only down side is the size of the mag.  but I loved the feel of it and i wouldnt be suprised if i find my self owning one again in the near future.
