not hard at all! once u hear or see it, it stays with you.

the hop-up is a device in any airsoft gun thats right in front of the chamber. the hop up moves a piece of rubber called a bucking. this rubber is hit by the bb just as it leaves the chamber. (ever so slightly i might add) juuuust enough to put back-spin on the bb. this helps range and accuracy. adjusting the hop-up helps tweak and fine tune the way your gun shoots.

ill pm you a crash course in batteries.

Nothing is hard. Just wait until you get your gun, and then you can experiment.
As for hopup...

$25 spring pistol or somthing as a main weapon. so i am getting into this form of "organized airsoft" and have some questions.

Damn man!!!! Going from a $25 gun to $300 is a huge transition!!! Do any of your friends have the money to follow you? Sh:t wow to me that just seems insane. Backyard to Soldier at once.

You know this means that unless your friends are morons, that there is no way in hell you can play with them. And believe this after you buy a real airsoft gun, you'll never pick up that springer again

KJW does make some very fine gas pistols, some of the finest perhaps, but I myself am partial to the black/silver Hi-capa dragons by WE.  My freind has one and it pistol pwns.

Western Arms pistols (especially the hi-capa) are NOTORIOUS for mag and valve issues. I've not heard of, nor experienced, ANY problems with KJW. so yes they are some of the finest  :)

Yea i had a WE hicapa, after a while the slide wouldn't lock back when your out and then it would leak gas and misfire, and then it wouldn't feed. Yea so it was bad, but im looking for a good one b/c i sold that one and i am a little leary of buying another one so KJW are some of the best???
