Easy.

Selector switch to sem-auto.   Squeeze trigger 3 times very fast.  Count to one.  Squeeze trigger 3 times fast.  Repeat.

Easy.

I had my weapon on semi only for all of Irene and Bulldog last season.  Never once went full auto.  Never was a problem.

I have never heard of this myself. I recall the Sig 551 had burst capabilities, but it had multiple problems. The problem is that if you do it mechanically, there could be problems. It is my understanding that the Marui Type 89 has burst, but it is an electrical modification, not a mechanical one.

Wrong, Type 98 is mechanical 3 round burst, so is the STAR FNC.  Converting an M16 to a mechanical 3round burst would be very difficult allbeit damn near impossible.  You could try and squeeze the very similiar v8 gearbox (type 98 gearbox) into an M4 or M16 body but you'd have to custom make the fire selector as the fire selector on the Type 98 is much different (and on the opposite side)

Vince, shut your mouth, people can use hicaps all they want and still matter.  I use hi caps and an ICS gun so does that put me at the bottom of your shit list because you certainly are making your way to mine pretty quick.  Hi Caps are justifiable as a legit tactic.  With the amount of rounds it takes to get some people to call themselves out etc it takes a HiCap.  And for the record i'm just as good (or bad depending :P) with a hicap or w/out the only difference is one i spend half a second more reloading.

YOU obviously do not go to national ops such as Irene, Lionclaws, Bulldog, etc... you know, the national ops held on REAL military facilities.

The general feeling among the real voices of American airsoft is that they don't play with hi caps, or play at paintsoft games where people do play with hi caps.

Hi caps are never justifiable as a "legit tactic" in any mil sim circles.

People who matter call their hits without having to be hosed.

Oh, go ahead and add me to your shit list too hero....

So Doc, I dont know how long you have been playing and quite seriously I dont care. Playing this game and using equipment is up to personal preference. And as far as you insulting another member of my team; thats just beetle-headed on your part. For one I have never seen you at any of our games or any others that we have been to, that were hosted by another team. For two, you should really learn not to talk crap until you have beaten someone and the team that they play on.. INSULTS ARE THE CRUTCH FOR THE INSECURE. Why dont you come up to the strawberry game?... (yes, Im calling you out and so is the rest of my team!

opposed to 400 with airsoft

Nobody that matters uses hicaps.

Nobody that matters? Wow- someone's ego is through the roof! If the game doesn't limit what can be used, be certain I will do whatever I can to achieve the maximum advantage.

lol.... cute.

it wasn't an insult.  I simply presented several statements of fact.

You are correct, its all personal preference.  That personal preference is exactly what seperates the various level of players and playing style.  Your "personal preference" doesn't mean shit at a national op.  But you would have to go to one to know that.

I don't play a lot of local airsoft.  I would rather play at national ops.  Haven't seen you at any of those....

But if I were going to play local games it would be with the likes of Vince and some of the other milsim players around here.

But good luck with your "personal preference" there hero...

There is a BIG difference between "real" games and playing around with friends. As I said above, if the game doesn't limit what you can carry, then do whatever you want. If the game calls for standard mags, I'll carry standards.

I'm not trying to perpetuate a fight, just to point out that the type of equipment someone uses at different times does not necessarily mean anything about the type of player. Not all airsoft games are milsim. Those that are- great- follow traditional mil standards. I'm all for it!

Other games are meant strictly for fun. You can be a great sim player and still play for fun, away from national competitions. Nothing is wrong with outfitting yourself as best as possible.

Hell- look at law enforcement. Would you limit the amount of rounds a cop can carry, just to preserve some immature, macho, 'bravado' attitude? Or would you equip him with the most tools feasibly possible? Remember, you may call on his services some day.

Jesus H. Fucking Christ guys... this is airsoft, not basketball.  Pull those tampons out and shut the fuck up.  God damn, and I wonder why I stopped playing, everyone bitches.  Everyone criticizes one another's playing style and equipment.  "You don't have a $650 plate carrier, you shouldn't play," "you don't use lowcap magazines, you're a noob,"  "you're gun isn't worth $1500, it's a piece of shit."   Fucking A guys, this isn't the crap I remember from 5 years ago.  5 years ago, everyone would flame eachother for being an idiot on the field, not because they're not wearing multicam and have $3000 in gear.  Go blow all of it out your asses.

Too far off course, and too detrimental to civilization as a whole.

Locked.  PM me if you've got something applicable to add.
