Those are airsofters.

The 7th SFG is supposedly dabbling in Multicam.

According to the article, these guys are in training at Fort Bragg.  It's a "future soldiers" type thing.

EDIT: Don't mean to sound like a dick or a "know-it-all" with this post, just saying what I read in order to hopefully figure out if it's real or not.

I was kidding, but that kinda jives with what I had heard. It's entirely possible it's an old photo, Scorpion (as it was then known) was in contention for the ACU project but got scrapped because like, some paperpusher decided the pattern needed to be digital.

It was supposed to be the combat uniform of the future, and MC (even as great as it is) was another rehash of the old style. Digital anything sounds futuristic these days, so now we see ACU's...

Has anyone gotten a set of these?  It would be interesting to know how they compare to the real thing.

I borrowed a set of Milspex Multicam uniforms from another fellow that he bought from Redwolf so I could take these comparison shots with my own Crye field set.  From far away its hard to tell, but the closer you get and you start to see the difference.  Its like a bad photocopy of the real pattern.  Some things I noticed:
-There is no 330d Cordura in the knees like the Crye built field pants
-Its all single stitched
-cheap elastic on the calf pockets
-thread used in stitching is of lesser quality
-fabric is of some strange, alien orgin
$60 plus shipping to get them.  Durability is unknown at this time, but I suspect for the average once a month or so airsofter they might hold up well enough.

Milspex is on the left, and the Crye is on the right in each photo.
