motor in the CA M249

What kind of motor is in the CA M249?  long medium short? Or is it its own size

do they make a ca highspeed or super highspeed motor that will fit the 249? and will the stock gearbox handle it?

Yes. and No. Ive heard of CA 249's breakin down from a 9.6 batt. No way in hell it could handle a super high speed motor. Its pretty standard CA. You of all poeple should know what ridiculous firing rate does to guns. Even CA.

You would have to also switch out the gears,  spring, and maybe piston if you wanted to have it run high speed with a high speed motor.

I would probaly go for prometheus gears standard ratio, deepfire piston, m120, Magnum motor.

I'm starting to think that you need to reshim the stock CA PGC gearbox once you get it. I've used both 8.4v and 9.6v in my CA 249 (when it was stock), it really didn't seem to matter as the piston/gears eventually gave out. I've also talked to fellow SAW owners outside of this board and it seems that the consensus among them is that proper shimming needs to be done for 8.4v+ operation.
