I'm new to the forums, and relatively new to AirSoft. Right now i'm debating between airsoft and paintball.  I like airsoft better, but I want to do whichever has a better turnout. So my question is, on a typical event like this, what is the turnout? How many people usually show up, how often, and how long are the games? thanks.

I will throw down on this one. I am not a part of the Rebel Union, but have attended thier games, so this is a little less biased. First off, if you are making a decision about what to get into based on the turnout, you may be going about it the wrong way. Go with where you have the most fun. Its cliche, but its true. Some of the funnest games I have played are two on two. Airsoft works anywhere from 3 to 50 guys or more. Anyway on to the games.

Turnout for these games in my experience has been between 10 and 15, most being regulars, so it is a pretty steady number. The game is extremely laid back, which makes it perfect for a friday night. Usually one game is played before dark and then flood lights are set up for the rest of the games. The low visibility is difficult to deal with until you get used to it. The field has great cover, small make shift buildings and little to no cactus. There was no one there under 17, with most guys in the 20-25 range. Maybe it is because of this that I noticed that the sportsmanship was first rate. No "invincible-soldier-of-fortune" types that ruin games, everyone was there to have fun, regardless of who won. The games were quick, so that if you got shot, you only waited a couple of minutes to get back in. I will post some pics from last week. Good group.

These Rebel Union games sound awesome!  Of course, I'll have to wait till I"m back from Afghanistan to get involved, but hey, can't have everything!

13special hit it pretty much on the nose with his review. The floodlights make the game quite different from either full day game or full night game; but keep the action relatively close by. We don't end up with 2 people alive 200 yds. from each other wandering around in the desert b/c they can't see.

Even when you dome their AEG toting ass with your pump shotty
and to xhorntail, i played competive paintball for 3 years, got sick of the people.  what it comes down to is you can play with 40 dicks like me or play with 14 decent guys and one dick like me.  besides that, airsoft is like 87934534 times cheaper.  thats just my opinion, everyone else is entitled to their own no matter how wrong it is

You can get in for next weeks game; there are flyers at PHX APD (maybe elsewhere, dunno) that have a map to the rally point. You can also PM fourwheeltrooper. Meet there by 6; it's all up in deer valley area
