Hey Jax- I was actually the dude that found your secret clipboard haha

CW '07 was absolutely amazing this year.... highlight of the day was the helicopter that landed which was a secret objective. so freakin badass!!
the ARGO vehicle with the gattling guns (plural as in two) was nuts too... the sound that thing made as it crawled along the roads was so cool.. sounded just like a tank. then when the gattling guns started up all hell broke loose.. sounded like static like when you turn your TV to a dead channel.

every airsoft player in AZ should consider attending the next one. we're only about 5-6 hours drive away!

MY AAR
« Reply #19 on: August 11, 2007, 12:05:41 AM »
AAR:

-arrived at 7am
-chronoed and ready by 730

set out from our FOB around 11 or so.

gathered up my squad and GMaxis' platoon and headed off with the Argo-Tank. headed off up North.  Reason called me over to go get the pilots, who were now wandering off.  we chased them down with some duck tape.  we captured one, but one, particular sexy pilot (     ) pulled a pistol and held it to the head of the soldier from Lima1 that was with me.  eventually i guess they got bored and headed off towards the FOB on their own.

We continued heading off towards the north along the road.  I found a SAM site around C-8 and called in a EOD to take care of it.  the swiftly dismantled it.  myself and one of the FTL's and some of his FT stayed for a moment to provide perimiter support to the EOD while the compleatly dismatled the SAM looking for an envelope before setting explosives.  by this time the ARGO and the rest of my unit had gone off towards oblivion and over the hill.

I took the remander of Romeo 2 off towards a MRP that was being held by a female in Romeo 2's 1st fire team.  we cought up and headed off towards the top of the hill somewhere around Bravo 5.

At this point we ran thru some ODD forces trying to hold the apex of the hill.  we proceeded west untill we spotted two ODD MRP's and what appeared to be a house off in the alfa section of the field.  we ran the ODD off the hill, and spotted another SAM site around Delta-4.

at this point, we were starting to get surrounded, so i pulled who i could with me furth west and headed towards Alpha-4.  At this point, for some reason when we got there, im assuming we lost over 90% of my unit to enemy fire.

So myslef and 4 guys held a ridgeline and set up an ambush, but im guessing that the ODD members were reenforced, cause we were over run again, and everyone was killed around me so i took off NOrth West.

I'll sday whoever was pursuing me all the way down the hill and than the cliff, musta been Chuck Norris or something , as they continued to pursure me for the next 45 minutes as i slowly moved back to the FOB, cause i was hearing that the FOB was in the provess of being over-run.

i made it almost all the way back to the FOB staying behind the ODD teams i was bumping into, taking out a few here and there.  Until i was shot in the back of the head about 10' from the FOB.  At this point i saw the Chopper get destroyed right in front of me.

So i regened and the FOB and found my whole squad there.  took half out to go after something i cant remember, as the rest of the day was a blur. probably due to the nifty escape and evading i had to do to get back to the FOB in the first place.

in the following hours, i helped assault a SAM at Hotel 6 i think with EOD-1 and some random persons.

found a fuel cell that broke in GMaxis' hands so i duct taped it together and had to cradle carry it back to the FOB, only to find out it was a fuel cell from CW-06!!!!!!!!

had to get my gun repaired by Jack as the motor kept spinning the grips retainging parts apart.

took some people out with a grenade before i lost it.

finally saw the ARGO, casue i havnt seen it since about 1130. it was now about almost 3pm.

tried to make a final push to escort the CO (Dangerous) to the safe zone.  got as far as the lakebed before i think the Argo had some weapon malfunctions as there was about 50 or so ODD's in all directions, so Chuck just took off towards the safe zone.  not sure if they got there or not, as we all got obilterated by the ARGO.  I DID get to see the argo surrender someone in the pillbox area at the lake.  that was awesome!!  he was all about - "I'M DEAD JESUS, I'm DEAD!"

at this point we all walked back towards the parking lot as it was about 5 minutes till EOG.

had a blast, and loved it all EVEN though we didnt prevail, we still died with valor!

PS:  i ahve about 15 pictures ill post when i get back to AZ tomorrow.

It's been fun playing in CA and no ill have to see how AZ treats airsofters from CA.

here are my pix:

I dont knwo who this medic was who saved me, but thanks.....

Looks like it was a good time Jax!  I see some familiar faces in some of those pics.
I have played paintball way in the past there.  The field owner at the time was less than accommodating; he ran his field like a daycare center and not a field.  He let games spill from one field to another...  Great field otherwise.
Get out to a game here when you can, we are still looking forward to meeting you!
