CA G3. Good to go?
« on: August 16, 2007, 08:17:21 PM »
Hey guys, I've recently been looking into getting a CA G3. I've heard nothing, but good reviews. The last time I saw one in person, it preformed great. I hear this a lot. Is it true?

Pros:
-RoF
-FPS
-Accuracy
-Bi-pod

Cons:
-Check rest
-Big and bulky

If I buy one, I get a TB for it and a 9.6V battery. Let me know what you think. If it's a good gun or not.

Thank you in advance.

Biggest thing is the hop-up. I ABSOLUTELY love mine. It is amazing. Quiet as hell too.

AMAZING!! 350 is about rite. I think mine chronoed at 342 reliably with .2. Stock. The hop-ups are hit or miss. But thats standard CA. Otherwise, best stock dun ive ever used.

Biggest drawbacks:
Proprietary mags. U get 58 or 330. No other options.
External upgrades are fairly limited and those that are available are a pain to install.
(while i like this some may not)Its a pretty long gun.

Overall tho, I wouldn trade it for another gun. Unless it was a better equipped G33. Lol.

CA G3 overall is a great weapon, if you do consider one, I would recommend using epoxy to reinforce where the plastic stock meets the metal to attach on the receiver to reinforce it as it is a little fragile.

I can vouch for that one, when I got mine, the seller broke it before I even got it. A Little epoxy later it was good as new. I love my CA G3. I've been using .25s and I'm shooting bout 305-310. I have both the TM and CA model and the CA has a lot less noise due to the majority of the metal parts.
