Oh I understand. I already have the new PDI 200% spring and the stock APS2-SV. I just need to purchase the extra internal parts to reinforce it. Boondock, where do they sell the spring guide and piston that you are talking about? The Q project told me those parts were $50 and $35 from them. Plus they want to sell me a new piston head along with those items for some reason. And Harley, isn't WGC a Hong Kong based retailer? Wouldn't the shipping cost around the same amount as the actual pieces that I will buy? Last time I purchased an AEG from an overseas retailer, I had to pay around $50 just for shipping through TNT. Unless WGC ships for less, I'm going to try to stick with U.S. companies for smaller parts. I only want to have to pay large amounts for shipping if I'm buying large amounts of items. And I want to get this straight once and for all: Paco says that he took his stock APS2-SV and put ONLY the PDI 200% spring in with ONLY a PDI metal spring guide. But Boondock's friend says that this combination of parts won't fit unless you buy a new piston to replace the stock one. Paco is saying that the new spring and spring guide will fit in the stock piston. But Boondock's friend says that the spring and spring guide won't fit inside the stock piston. Could Maruzen have possibly changed the internals over the years? Oh yea, and Paco I know what you're talking about with the cylinder head. I'm gong to fabricate my own cylinder key to open it up. I heard that Maruzen uses locktight on the cylinder head.

I bought my piston from a Hong Kong website called www.airsoftclan.com. It was $41 dollars. My stock piston head could fit right onto the new piston. They charged me 15 dollars for FedFex shipping. I got it 3 days after I placed the order. Good company. Let me know if you need help.

Don't forget to look into a reinforced bolt handle.  If you don't learn how to cycle the bolt correctly, with your thumb behind the nut that holds the handle onto the bolt,you will end up snapping it off.  I would reccomend using a heavier weight BB, at least a .36g or better yet, a .43g.  This decreases the FPS, but allows for greater accuracy. The nozzle can be taken off with a crescent wrench, no problem. Like everyone else says, a correct spring guide and piston for your spring is essential.

I only mentioned WGC for reference.  Use whomever you choose.  Don't skimp when it comes to upgrading the gun.  Like Farslayer said, get the reinforced bolt handle and the other reinforced internal parts or you'll end up breaking things.

allright. thanks for all the help. I just really wanted to get everything straight before I actually spent any money. I think I'll check out that airsoftclan place. I noticed they sell those parts for pretty cheap and if the shipping is only around $20. then heck. I'm sold. Oh, and yes I've already bought a bag of .36 bbs. I read that the 200% spring upgrade should get my gun shooting .20s around 480 FPS. I figure I'll also buy that APS OR barrel with adjustable hop up and stick the APS silencer on it to protect the barrel. crescent wrench huh? I guess I'll have to try that out. I'm so glad that these springers are sooo easy to take apart and assemble again. I pretty much know every part in my gun now, and I've ony spent like 30 min. fiddling around with the internals. Hmmm...I may be mistaken, but I think the APS2-SV's hopup is set for .29 g's and is not adjustable.  It doesn't make a great deal of difference.  Another thing you may want to look into is getting a ceramic piston head instead of an aluminum (sp?) one.  This might reduce the loud "crack" you hear when you shoot the gun.  More like a "fooomp" sound.  I have a Zero-1 trigger too.  It came with the gun, but was a pricey extra.  Makes a lot of difference when you have a more powerful spring.  
Don't spend too much...you can always add on later dude.

Oh thats my plan. Add stuff as I go and as I get a better feel for the gun. You're right about the hop-up not being adjustable, it is set for .29s, but since I'm upgrading the spring I'll be using heavier bbs. You can buy a replacement barrel that changes it so that you can have adjustable hop-up. I think it costs around 90 dollars. And so far, I'm extremely happy with the sound of my gun. It sounds really fake but its sooo much better than that loud motor noise followed by the loud crack that my old TM G3 used to make. I found the APS2-SV to be much quieter. I'll check that ceramic piece out anyway though. Thanks.

Hey, I'm buying an APS2-SV and I might need to end up upgrading it myself instead of the provider. I've read that the PDI 200% spring should be hard enough for good range and weak enough to stay under 500 FPS. And I also know that I'll need to buy a few internal parts to keep my gun in working condition after I put the spring in. What do I NEED to support a PDI 200% spring in my APS2-SV? I personally read that all I basically need is a 9mm metal spring guide and a new piston set. Is this true? What do they mean piston set? Just a new Strong Vacuum piston? Thanks.
