I had two sets issued to me here at Ft. Riley.

Apparently it was an error as they were supposed to be issued only to MTT guys in 1/1 ID.  Only time I took 'em out of the bag is when I had to return them to CIF.

Should have tried one on.  Looked cool though.

As for the nomex "flight suits."  The Army put out that soldiers must increase their water intake while wearing the nomex suits.  Just a guess, but with that, they probably don't breath as well as ACUs... and some of us know what a joke that is.

my favorite part of the ACU's is how right about the time they're broke in, they've shrunk. Love the cut hat the cloth

They feel very light weight.  Nomex by definition does not breath, however, the material is lighter, so I like them alot better.

UPDATE i saw a female soldier at papago wearing that very form fitting shirt saturday. the none acu part is very very very form fitting.

She must have been going on a convoy outside the wire through Downtown. :roll:

I'm glad the CONUS troops have the latest fashion before the guys downrange.
