Lately I have been doing a little thinking about playing more silently. First question I have is about GBB's. I don't currently own a GBB, but I expect to sometime within the next few months, and don't know what parts of the gun generate the most noise. On an AEG, it's usually the Gearbox when your firing, but there is a minimal amount of noise that comes from the muzzle of the gun when you fire it. If I wanted to take measures to silence my proverbal GBB, what could I do (slides/ siliencers?)? And if you do use a siliencer is it at all effective?
I know when I talk about siliencers it's mostly cosmetic, but again, do they function as a siliencing device at all? How about on AEG's?
Since most retailers of Airsoft Guns don't give you a db reading for the guns, what are some of the more silent AEGs (I have already heard enough about foamed gearboxes though)?
Basically, if you have chosen to ignore my other questions, how can I make my airsoft guns more silent?
