Echo 614- anyone have exp. with its durability?

I'm looking for an aeg as an alternate to my primary (I break shit) on a bit of a budget. What I've read about the echo 614 is good...but I haven't seen any reviews of long-term durability. Wondering if anyone has run a bunch of rounds through theirs, and what their feel of this gun is.

Just in general Echo 1 is a great company im not familiar with the 614 though

How good are you at gearboxes?

Its standard JG plastic with a metal front plus the thing shoots over 400fps even with a broken in spring. ASR and Arnies tend to have reviews of ACMs.

problem with shooting over 400 FPS..... Cant use in games

with nothing but a 14.5" barrel mine is shooting around 420-430. if you step down one notch on the spring then you may be able to get it back into usable range for local games.

I have found my 614 to be very good and while I have only shot about 5k rounds through it I have found no faults.

stock the gun comes with some minor issues like a loose r.i.s that can be fixed with a little gaffers tape around the bolt hole. and a little loose inner barrel ( 14.5" mad bull )that can be fixed with minor shimming and made a nice differance in my accuracy at 100+ feet.

its that damn peq2 box that pisses me off

Buy a Classic Army Crane Stock or a LiPoly Battery (that fits in the buffer tube) and rewire the gearbox. Problem solved.

Except that the wall charger that comes with it is running a 220V imput rather than 110.
