Try here:

http://home.comcast.net/~davidawilson/L ... e_suit.htm

you can use a flight suit as your platform.  I have found that easier to get in and out of.  Also, I sew a hood on, instead of using a boonie.  It makes it a one piece suit and you can flip the hood up and down as needed.  I actually use a ghille "poncho" most of the time now.

Don't over do it with the scrim.  I use burlap as shown above and leave 70% natural and dye the rest.

As far as natural grass, use Rafia.  It is sold by the bunch for 2.50 at walmart.

You can see some of my ghille photos here:

Stoneeaglewolf is a great resource on the boards, he's been makin his own for a long time.

Well, I have done some more research and have found out a few things. I want to make at least the full back of my camo ghillie if not the whole body. Basically you use Meshing and sew it onto your bdu. Then just take your grass/leaves/strings and tie them to the meshing. I really want to build this all from scratch thus avoiding costs as much as I can. So has anyone used jute thread or burlap. I have come to understand that burlap requires some shredding and ripping on the ends of every strip yet the jute is ready to go. Anyone used these??

Aside from cutting a few 6" by 6" holes in my camo, what other base layers does anyone know of that will make it more Air permeable??

I found a great site for teching you how to do it. Straight, simple and to the Point instructions.

I think I will Post Later on When I have time how to make one, where to get the supplies and all that good stuff for the new or beggining sniper guys, If of Course thats oK with U MODS

For a better suit attach it to a rope and drag behind a ATV or Truck in the mud to give it a Earthly Smell and Look
