Quick survey for the military members
« on: March 05, 2008, 02:31:20 PM »
Hello everyone!

I am currently working on an innovative project that is for the benefit of the entire military family. If you wouldn't mind, I have a quick survey that I would like to distribute to you guys so I can get a better idea of how I should proceed. The survey is quick, it should take you less than 5 minutes.

Thanks for your time,
Shane Gibson

It's not extremely clear what is meant by the term "Military Family."

To me, that means a family who has a member serving in the military.

Do you mean the military community?

The answer to this has a great deal of impact on the answers I would provide.

I keep in touch with my military buddies via AKO, DSN, and NIPR.

I can use those same methods to communicate with family and friends, but I opt for email and cell phone.

It also depends on whether it's during a deployment or not.

Let us know, and thanks for the work thus far!

When I say military family, I mean all members of the military community (like communicating with military buddies, your own family, etc). I was trying to capture what I perceive as the essence of the military, and that is a very brotherly, family like relationship. Shall I make that more clear within the survey?

Ultimately what we are trying to do is make a one stop shop for the military to communicate among all of their contacts. You mentioned that you usually opt to use email and cell phone to communicate with family and friends, while you use other methods to communicate with military buddies. We would like to make it possible for all members of the military community to communicate on one platform that is both free and convenient, with features like voice and video chat, photo upload, and a message board.

We stole the Eagle from the Air Force, the Anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army. On the 7th day, while God rested, we overran his perimeter and stole the Globe, and we\'ve been running the show ever since.
