AK modifications
« on: March 04, 2008, 02:56:51 PM »
So I have an AK-47 that I am trying to fix, and customize. Being an AK, there are limited modifications that can be done, unlike an M16 type rifle. There are a few thing that I was considering doing to it, and wanted to know how they would work out.

The first thing is to change the stock on it. I have the full stock, and wanted to swap that out for the sniper stock that is put on the dragunov (like this one: http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/images/SVDb.jpg )

I also thought of changing the front end, and putting on the B-spetsnaz front on their. ( http://www.mfiap.com/airsoft/spetsnaz.jpg )

I considered doing both at the same time, but realize that my gun would look like hell if I did that.

Anyway, I know where I can get the spetsnaz assmebly, so thats not a problem, but does anybody know where the stock can be found?

One thing about changing to a Dranuov stock is you will basically need a new body i believe.

But at gearbox airsoft, they have a Dragunov stock with a body attached i believe don't quote me on it.

Changing the front ends out is as easy as taking out 4 screw pulling the front off putting the new one on and it takes less then 5 minutes.

If you have to change the entire body style to get the stock to fit, then forget it. I just wanted a stock that wasnt the regular full stock, and not that folding "ariborne" stock. I guess Ill stick to the on thats on there.
