Quick question For all the gear genious's

Well it is time to wash my gear, and i was wondering what is the best way to do this.

i have been tolled to throw it in the washer but let it hang dry. is this the best way?

Yeah, that'll work.  Or just don't wash it.  Unless there is poo on it.

Just hose it off, I wouldn't wash gear in the machine. Spray the mud off hang till dry.

I have never washed my gear, ever.  

Now uniforms on the other hand, yes all the time.
Though, if I were some how possessed to wash my gear, then I would do as SGT. Keenan suggests.

You can machine wash, just no spinning, that degrades the urethane coating. Bucket and detergent works well too.

+1, besides i doubt your rocking gear that contains soft armor or anything, so that should be fine. but thats only if you HAVE to wash it.  I've never washed my gear other than my utilities. and boots.

but idk it just seems stinky and thought maybe it could use a good cleaning

how i was told to wash my gear was to get a dry wire brush and just brush it out. then if you want you can wash it but i grab a hose and hose it off. then i hang dry it and run it through another dry wire brush.
