I just used the free study guide I got from the BP and I was able to pass the test. Might wanna just save your money and use that. Its a really well made guide.
And again, they'll teach you all the Spanish you'll need in the "crash course" you'll get in the academy so you might not need to worry about learning any yet. Unless you feel more comfortable going into the academy knowing Spanish (probably not a bad idea).
I wouldn't worry too much about your eye sight either. When I was tested by them I failed the hearing portion because of a hereditary condition I have but was able to eventually get medically cleared by getting further testing done and sending them a letter appealing the results. I checked the online status system one day and bam I was medically cleared.
And don't get an AR... get something in a .308

^ dont get rosseta stone it is a shitpile, costs way to much. last year they gave my school the french one for us to use w/ class, we used it once and it was a flaming turd, It was like "french for dummies" in a dumbed down way. That being said I've only had experience with the french one, dont know about the spanish one, But each course is like $250.

You could invest it,  take $1000 and invest it in something, wouldn't be too hard to make at least 20% in a year if you did it right, with the way things are right now its like getting everything half price.

Another thing I'm worried about, is that I'm a type 1 diabetic and have been for 12 years (dia when i was 7, i'm now 19). But i had a long talk wih a recruiter that asured me that if I keep my A1C under 7 (mines 6.6), I should be fine. Its also a plus that I use the pump. I plan on owning a few .308s one day, a rem700pss with leupy m1 glass, and OPS INC can  :twisted:   otherwise...its all 556

So, Seedy, are you employed as BP right now?

My background is being investigated right now and I'm just waiting to hear from a judiary on whither I'm fit for employment or not (basically the last step before you get a green light or red light for the academy).
I didn't get in on one of the expedited hiring periods so I've been waiting about 10 months to hear back from them  :?
It can take up to a year to get processed so I'm just waiting and waiting right now.

I know back in MI before i moved out here, they had several job fairs all relating to border patrol and was hiring like crazy. I should of jumped on that, or atleast tried.
Need to start running, get my A1C to an even 6.0 and get some more school done

Arent those first 3 praticlly Identical? I see the small differences, but would you really notice that much of a difference for the $6,000 you would spend on those 2?

anyway all you should really want is a 416, and that badass schmidt and bender optic as well.

Yah, the first 3 are very identical. I only like m4 clones. I hate 416s with a passion. If you notice, the first 4 are exactly the same, aside from barrel sizes and different glass. What can I say, I like military clones. If the new guy doesn't fuck with stuff, I'll build one at a time.

Being a musician and a gun fan I say ESP and ADCO, TV's are a depreciating technology, they get cheaper and cheaper every year.
Get the stuff that holds value, that same TV will be half the price next year.
