How do I make my m15a4 Semi-auto Only?
« on: March 17, 2009, 04:59:06 PM »
Hey guys I am trying to turn my  Ca M15A4(old type) into a sniper, I need to know how I could make it semi automatic only. If I can make it semi only, would I be able to shoot 500 fps with .20s? You know, so I can actually use it at the matches. thanks in advance.

The way i did mine is that i took my selector plate and used a dremel to grind down the piece that switches the semi-auto disconnector. Normally when you swtich to full auto, the selector plate slides back a couple of mm and that pushes the semi-auto disconnecter away from the sector gear so that it no longer resets the trigger after every shot. Grind a small part of the plate away and even in full auto, it will still shoot semi. If you want pictures to clearify i can PM them to you.

I just googled a selector plate and edited it, didn't feel like whipping out the camera to take a picture of my selector plate lol. Just grind down the area i boxed in red and your rifle will be semi-auto. There's no turning back from this unless you buy a new selector plate so make sure you're certain you want semi only. Also with this modification, that little spring might fall out easier if you're handeling it wrong.

do as he has, cut away the section out lined in the picture, try to get a longer spring to make up the difference in the new cut length.
