Gearbox: Five Star Customer Service
« on: February 09, 2009, 07:03:16 AM »
Gearbox at 1833 E. Southern Avenue, Tempe, Arizona

Being a new player of airsoft it is nice to find friendly help with information and gear. Each time I have visited Gearbox Ron and Jeremiah have gone above and beyond to help me with information or gear even if they were completely swamped with work. In each case they helpful without pressuring me or anyone else (from what I observed) into buying unnecessary or unwanted gear. In many cases I have asked them to look at my guns to help diagnose a problem, and they were more than willing to help find and solve it on the spot. A few weeks ago I brought in a buggy Mp5 that I had bought used online, and asked if they would take a look at it to see they could help me with its shooting problem. Upon opening the gun they found the previous owner had ghetto-rigged the gearbox as well as finding a broken spring guide. Not only did they get my gun operational, but they did so free of charge. Being new to airsoft they could have taken that opportunity to hit me with high service + parts charges, but again they did not. In my personal experience it is hard to find a business that really does put the customer first, but again Gearbox absolutely does. I would recommend Gearbox to anyone who plays or is interested in playing airsoft.

Oh yea, the gearbox is pretty great. But its not just the store. I remember when Ron and Jeremiah was working over at Jungletoy Phoenix. They always had gook CS. When i need parts and when i visit phoenix i try to make it to the gearbox because they got great prices and know what they are talking about. Just this friday i got a slide with the guts for my m9 for free! ill easily spend hundreds there next visit.

They've always had great customer service. Way back in the day at 35th and Northern I'd stop by before I went into work. Great group of guys. Glad they are still around.

So true, i actually went today for some info on maintaining an AEG and buying parts to rewire my Dboys M4 S System.  I am still kind of new to airsoft since i have been busy with school and stuff in the family, so i never got much time in airsoft games and researching on the AEG's and their gearboxes.

Ron if you are reading this thanks for all your help, i really appreciate it.  [smilie=armata_pdt_01.gif]

I got to say that they are a great store. Great people. They had no problem showing me how to clean my M4.

I also have to sing the praises of Ron, Matt and Jerimiah (sorry if I misspelled it).  I second everything already said.  When I first got into airsoft Ron could have sold me anything and everything if he wanted to, but he didn't.  Instead he taught me about airsoft, both about guns and tactics.  I remember Ron saying once, "You don't open an airsoft shop to get rich.  You do it because its fun and you make good friends."  Well Ron, I think I can speak for much of the airsoft community in the valley when I say, you have made many good friends and loyal customers.
