Gear Sets
« on: March 03, 2009, 03:39:16 PM »
Soooo are these really just a $90 gimmic???

It seems like it would be a cool idea since all you would have to do is swap out sets, but its still $90. lol

For that price I would MUCH rather buy a set of gears and have Jared do it and STILL be under $90.

If memory serves, Ron has a set of the high torque version in his RPK.

I know they just came out with a "new and updated" version.  Ron had them in the store and was looking at them.  I don't seem to recall that they were that expensive but I also don't remember asking.

The advantage is that the gears are shimmed up, just need to drop them into the box.

That also only works if the gearbox is the exact dimensions their test gearbox was.  Which as we know in airsoft, is not the case most of the time.

True, but at least the gear will be shimmed to each other properly, as far as the motor and piston, here hoping  [smilie=armata_pdt_34.gif]
