They're practically the same.  Echo 1's usually just have the name "Echo 1" and/or a bar code stamped somewhere.  As well as some small upgrades like metal bushings.

The biggest difference is that E1 are "screened" supposedly, and are the best of whatever company's guns they are re branding, that and the 30 day warranty. Also the minor upgrade work goes a long way in. If you have the choice spend the extra 30$ and buy the E1, you won't regret it.

I Agree I have an Echo 1 and i have had it for a while haven't had anything wrong  with it at all. I've known a few people that had JG's and they had some problems after a few months.

I'm not gonna put any barbs' on ECHO's name*, my "614" (H&K 416) served me well in Balkan Hammer II

*Though I wouldn't know which "name" to use:
Echo 1's M249 = A&K's M249
Echo 1's AK CPW = CYMA's CPW
Echo 1's G3  "DSR" = Jing Gongs' G3

Case and pt.
