anit-reversal latches don't work that way, if it was upside down it would just never catch the gear.

im not an expert in the field but i cant imagine a CA motor not being able to turn a 110 spring over... i think my next step would be hookin up a multimeter and checking Resistance to the motor and after the motor... maybe even the resistance of the motor its self

i hope this helps if not don't hesitate to let me know ( i get my electrical know how from being a motorcycle mechanic haha)
