Thanks to everyone who came out to OP: West Wing this past weekend. We had over 50 players (including 7 women!) join us for some great airsoft and military simulation games. A special thank you goes out to Gearbox Airsoft for sponsoring the event and providing AEG repairs during the game.
MTT would also like to thank Matt Lane and Carl Johnson for providing military vehicle transports for the players at the game.
Here is a quick summary of the two day event for those who missed out:
Saturday May 2Open games get started at around 10:15 about 16 players who are ready. Games are force on force/green vs tan
Player count gets to about 35 around noon for some larger capture the flag games
13 players participate in the small unit field tactics training class
Lunch break at about 1:30
Games resume with some attack and defend missions until 2:30
15 players participate in the IED and Ranger Demolition Training
Players are relieved of duty to set up tents and have dinner from 3:30 - 5:30
Games resume with force on force/green vs tan
Black Hawk Down scenario (Rangers must escape through two city blocks while Somali militia ambush) Rangers extract via military transport under cover of smoke
Zombie games from 9 pm - 11 pm
Exhausted players call it a day around a camp fire close to midnight
Sunday May 3Some new player arrive to replace some players who are too tired to play for the second day. Unfortunately, many more Rangers arrive and Fedayeen are outnumbered 14 - 27
Mission 1
Fedayeen are able to set up two missiles. US Rangers raid the western compound and destroy 1 SCUD. Although outnumbered, the Fedayeen hold off a massive attack on the main town and prevent the destruction of a second SCUD missile.
Mission 2
Fedayeen are able to set up their final missile at the northern compound. The Rangers use the close proximity of their insertion point to successfully destroy the second missile. The Rangers stage a vehicle assault into the center village to destroy the last missile. The Fedayeen are able to withstand the assault and capture most of the Ranger platoon.

Mission 3
Cancelled as most of the players are so thorouoghly exhausted. About 15 players choose to finish the day with a series of force on force games until 4:45 pm.
