I agree. Unfortunately these idiots are the only "representation" the airsoft community usually gets with the public. It's interesting reading these stories and seeing what peoples opinions and reactions are. There's very little accountability held to the parents of minors involved in these incidents, even when the city had regulations prohibiting the sale of any airsoft guns to minors. As far as the adults who are dumb enough to threaten with, or brandish airsoft guns in public, no one cares to speculate that these same idiots would have used anything at their disposal, be it paintball, airsoft, bb guns, or other means.
I've also noticed that airsoft guns are lumped in with vandals using bb guns. I don't know for sure, but I can't see anyone being able to shoot car windows out with even an AEG, or spring sniper for that matter (I have a hard enough time doing it with a center punch or axe), yet airsoft guns must be the culprits :roll: . The media gives little information to the public other than airsoft guns look "too" realistic, and are "dangerous". It's an uphill battle for sure...
