A bb melt? I'm assuming you mean some kind of defective bb lodged itself into your barrel and that was the cause of your accuracy issues. I was about to have buyer's remorse because I just ordered one yesterday.

no seriously. the guy at APD told me. that the whole inside of the barrel was full of white stuff. Like the bb melted inside.

Other than that, the gun is great. I had them replace the barrel with a high precission barrel and it is SWEET

Oh, well then, if they told you that...

Not to be rude but the gun does not generate enough heat to melt a BB nor does it have the power or barrel length to melt a BB from friction.  I'm really curious what they replaced the barrel with since it doesn't use a standard barrel.

No its cool. I actually saw the barrel. The guy over there had to grind the new barrel to make it fit. My gun shoots a lot better now though.

I thought it was kind of od that the bb was melted.

At least it works now right?

Question, where would one purchase a tightbore for an ICS L85? Also I know the hop up is different, but I'm assuming I could use after market hop up buckings without ill effect?

the closest barrel i think is the g36 barrel. I mean if you are gonna upgrade yours i'd just take it to APD or gearbox and ask them. like I said though mine works just fine.

The white bb residue inside the barrel got me thinking.
Maybe it's "rub off" of bio-degradeable bbs.
That's always a chance, however IDK if you have ever ran bios through your gun.
I mean, it's the only plausible answer I can think of.
There's no way your gun "melted" bbs inside your barrel.
Laws of physics and toy guns say no-go  :lol:

I'm glad you found a barrell though.
And for those of you who don't want to have a custom barrel cut and grinded, I'de look into getting a barrel slightly shorter then stock that are commonly and easily accesible.
You'll loose some range over a custom one, but it'll still be an upgrade over stock in both groupings and FPS.
